(I suppose the stop on the launch aids in block sections, but I'd enjoy the ride more without it. A brief pause on a launch track, and we're in a twisted mass that I can't even recount to you. Powerful ejector going straight into an inversion. Oh, that vertical drop, and in the (equivalent of) a back row. The ride operators give us thumbs up, and the tires push us out of the station, the straight track giving us a small sideways twist, and we hit the vertical drop. We ascend to the station and they hype is palpable, getting in immaculately themed steampunk rides (with comfortable seats and restraints), the glowing gears above us turning green as we fasten ourselves in. The line (about 1:15 first thing in the day, but much shorter later on) moves up and we get grouped in the seventh of eight rows, which puts us, half the time, in the back row. This is seriously amazing and part of why I love this ride so much.

It tries to welcome you, push your limits, and have fun. That's a welcome contrast to the big bad Intimidators, Dominators, and Goliaths of the world. This ride's theme seems to be an infectious, positive theme of discovery and experimentation. Oh, and the tiny windows looking out upon a twisted knot of track in the clearing below. The ceiling-gears and pendulums make this a better line than most. Down a path on the side of a sheer hill you go, getting into the insides of a lab strewn with steampunk tools, plots, and a bluegrass rendition of "Rollercoaster of Love" plays on the speakers.

A kaleidoscopic, moving ride sign is the first clue of the effort and experience put into this attraction. Time Traveler is one of the best rides on the planet in every regard. I'm going to be indulgent and gush over this ride. From the newspaper-map, we plotted a course to Time Traveler, the most awaited ride of the entire expedition. We rolled up fairly early and walked through the enchanting gate with the obligatory clock picture. No sense in suspense, this is the best park I've been to where I haven't been paid to work there (Cedar Point bias ahoy!). what is there to say that hasn't been said? Top notch atmosphere, deliberate and well planned attractions, theming and presentation, top notch hospitality, cinnamon bread, an actual cave in the park. Silver Dollar City, the last stop on the trip. Warning: I will gush about Time Traveler way too much
